FAQ

  • Are your gloves cut-resistant or cut-proof?
Our gloves are cut resistant which means they provide a level of protection between your hand and the sharp kitchen tool should an accident happen. While it does not guarantee that you will not hurt yourself, it does provide a strong layer of protection that may stop or minimize any injury that could occur.
  • What are Level 5 Safety gloves?
Our cut-resistant gloves were awarded the highest, EN388 level 5 cut resistance meant for Extreme cut hazards. These gloves are used for jobs that involve very sharp blades, such as a meat butcher, and for heavy metal stamping and plate glasswork. • What sizes do your gloves come in?
Our gloves are designed for kids and small hands and therefore we offer them in size small and large. Our small glove fits hands between approximately 11.5 - 14.5cm in length, roughly children between the ages of 5-11. Our large glove is approximately 14.5 - 19cm in length and fits the hands of children between the ages of 8-14. Our gloves are stretchy and provide much flexibility to fit little hands as they grow. Please view our sizing chart to find the size that best suits your child.
  • Should my child wear one glove on each hand when chopping?
We recommend that your child wear a single glove on the hand that is holding the food ingredient as this is the hand that is most at risk. As a matter of fact, wearing a glove on the hand holding a knife or the kitchen tool could increase the chances of slippage and make it more difficult to practice proper technique.
  • Are your gloves heat resistant?
No. Our gloves do not protect against heat or burns.
  • Are your gloves washable?
Yes! Once you have finished using your glove you can throw it in the washing machine with your other laundry. We recommend you have on hand multiple gloves should you be cutting vegetables and fruit along with meat in one session. If you think your child will be cutting both, we recommend they switch gloves between meat and vegetables/fruit.
  • What happens if the gloves get damaged?
If your gloves show any signs of wear or get damaged, discard and replace them. Do not attempt to sew or glue them.
  • Do you have gloves for adults?
No, we don't but if you are interested please drop us a line and let us know! If we see that more adults would like gloves for themselves we will make it happen!
  • What if the gloves do not fit my child, can I exchange or return?"
Unfortunately, due to the safety classification of the glove we cannot accept returns which is why we encourage customers to check the sizing chart to ensure they purchase the proper size for their child. We also personally inspect each glove prior to shipping to ensure there are no signs of damage. That said, if you are concerned about your purchase, please send us a line and we will do everything we can to make you happy! To see our sizing chart, click here.
